Reece Group to acquire Heatcraft New Zealand Operations
Today, the Reece Group announced it has agreed to acquire Heatcraft’s New Zealand Operations from Swedish company, Beijer Ref.
Reece Group has a history in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) sectors in Australia, along with plumbing and bathroom products. The acquisition expands the Reece Group’s footprint across the North and South Islands of New Zealand from 11 to 18 locations, having acquired plumbing supplier LG Carder in 2006.
Of the acquisition, Reece Group CEO and Managing Director Peter Wilson said: “With a comprehensive product range, the acquisition of Heatcraft’s New Zealand operations will enable us to build on our solid base in the region and broaden our customer offering to include wholesale refrigeration.”

The acquisition is due to be completed in six weeks.
